Private Flute Lessons

I currently teach out of a home studio located in downtown Bothell, Washington.

I currently charge $35 per half-hour lesson, $50 per 45-minute lesson, and $65 per hour-long lesson.

I currently accept cash, check, or payment via Venmo. Lesson fees are paid up front at the beginning of each month for that months’ total lessons. If this is not feasible for you, we can discuss a weekly payment plan.

I typically work with students in 5th grade - 12th grade, but I’ll work with anyone about age 10 and up. While the flute requires a certain level of physical development to begin comfortably (which is why I usually start students around 5th grade), lessons don’t have to end after high school!

The longer the lesson, the more we are able to accomplish! For beginners, I recommend starting with 30- or 45-minute lessons, and for intermediate players (particularly high schoolers) I recommend 45- or 60-minute lessons.

I give weekly lessons at a regularly scheduled time each week. If this is not feasible for you, we can discuss the possibility of doing lessons every other week.

My lesson schedule no longer follows a specific school district’s calendar regarding school breaks and holidays. If my students plan to miss a regularly scheduled lesson due to a school break or other planned absence, I simply ask that they let me know at least the month prior. For the 2025-2026 school year, there will be no lessons on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27th) or during Winter Break (December 22nd through January 2nd). Additional breaks in lessons are subject to change. Some students choose to take lessons during the school year only, but I offer lessons throughout the summer as well.
